AVALabel 2.x README.TXT for UNIX Users Thank you for downloading AVALabel 2.x.Installing AVALabel In order to use AVALabel, you must copy the avalabel2.avx file into Arcview's extension directory. On UNIX platforms this is generally $AVHOME/ext (where $AVHOME is the directory in which Arcview is installed). If you are unable to determine where your Arcview extension directory is, contact your System Administrator. Using AVALabel in DEMO modeWhen you first download AVALabel it will be running in DEMO mode. In this mode the extension will stop working after 9 labels have been added. In order to unlock AVALabel you must unload and reload the extension or purchase a registered version of AVALabel. When you purchase a registered version, you will receive a Serial Number and Key Code which will permanently unlock AVALabel. Creating AVALabel.iniThe first time you use AVALabel it will attempt to create a file named "avalabel2.ini" in your $AVHOME/ext directory. This file contains your registration information. If you do not have the appropriate user rights to create this file, AVALabel will give you a warning and load in DEMO mode. Please note that anytime you want to make any changes to your registration information, AVALabel must have write permissions to the $AVHOME/ext directory. Please contact your System Administrator if you do not have the appropriate permissions. Loading and Unloading AVALabel into ArcviewOnce you have placed the AVALabel extension files in the proper locations, you can add AVALabel to your Arcview project using the Extensions dialog. This dialog can be found in the File menu of the active document. The Extensions dialog allows you to load and unload extensions. To load the AVALabel extension
